ROUND ONE VIDEOS
CREATE AN AMAZING VIDEO ENTRY
PLAN FIRST THEN RECORD. Before you create your video, read through what is required and write out your answers to the questions in advance.
Be PASSIONATE. The purpose of this first round video submission is to help us get to know who you are as a person and as a professional. Lean into who YOU are!

Be PROFESSIONAL. The image that you project on the video should be one that is consistent with a real-world businessperson.
PRACTICE. PRACTICE. PRACTICE. The record your best effort for submission. No winging it!
SEMI-FINAL ROUND ROLE PLAY TIPS

Congratulations! If you are reading this section you are most likely a Semi-Finalist in Conestoga’s Top Sales Pro Role Play Competition!

In the Semi-Final Round you will have the opportunity to act as a sales rep for our title sponsor, Fastenal Canada. All Semi-Finalists will meet with Fastenal to be briefed on a customer scenario and the company’s products, services and solutions prior to the Semi-Final Round. The customer meeting will be a full sales role-play including trial closes and objections. There is no final close required in this round. Your goal is to get the next meeting with the big boss and key decision-maker in the Final Round.

You will be measured on your knowledge of the company and the customer, your ability to articulate your company's value proposition and connect it to the customer’s needs, overall professionalism and your introduction, trial closes and response to objections.

Our title sponsor, Fastenal, will judge the Semi-Final Round of Conestoga’s Top Sales Pro Role Play Competition. Conestoga College and the competition organizers will not have a hand in deciding who moves on to the Final Round, rather will provide the judges with a set of criteria to ensure that the judging is consistent.

SALES ARE CONTINGENT ON THE ATTITUDE OF THE SALESPERSON - NOT THE ATTITUDE OF THE PROSPECT.
